1. Eligibility
The Great Canadian Meat Jerky Face Draw is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who are of the age of majority in their province or territory at time of entry. Employees of Great Canadian Meat Company (the draw sponsor) associate prize sponsors and affiliated agencies and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising and promotion agencies as well as immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible to win a prize. The draw is subject to all applicable laws and federal, provincial and municipal regulations.
2. Agreement to Official Rules
Participation in this draw constitutes entrants’ full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which is final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent on being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements herein.
3. Draw Period
The draw begins on Friday February 26, 2021 at 12:00 a.m. EST and ends on March 28th 2021 at 11:59 EST (the “Draw End Date”). Entries that are submitted before the draw begins or after the draw end date will be disqualified. 4. How to Enter
No purchase required. Follow us @greatcanadianmeat on Facebook and/or Instagram. Take A Picture Of Yourself Eating or Holding A Bag of Great Canadian Meat or Kurtzie’s Products With Your Best Jerky Face… Post your picture or story on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #jerkyface and tag or mention us in the photo between February 26, 2021 and March 28th 2021. All entries become the property of Great Canadian Meat and will not be acknowledged or returned. The odds of winning will depend on the number of valid entries received.
5. Prizes
A total of three (3) prizes will be awarded. These prizes will consist of three (3) $150.00 CDN (One Hundred Fifty Canadian Dollars) cash prizes. The same person cannot win multiple prizes. The value of each prize awarded to each winner is One Hundred Fifty Canadian Dollars
( $150.00 CDN ). Prizes will be paid via e-transfer or a prepaid VISA or Mastercard gift card.
6. Prize Draws
On March 30th, 2021 potential winners of the Prizes will be selected in a random draw from all eligible entries received by the Draw End Date. Winners will be notified via telephone, email, or direct message on social media a maximum of two (2) times each. If the potential winners cannot be contacted within five (5) business days of the date notice or an attempted notice is sent, draw administrators may select alternate potential winners in their place at random from the remaining non-winning, eligible entries received by Draw End Date.
By entering this Draw, entrants authorize the Sponsor(s) to use as required, his/her name, photograph, picture, place of residence, voice and (or) statement in connection with any prize, for advertising purposes, without remuneration or compensation of any kind. In order to be declared a winner and prior to receiving a prize, selected entrants undertake to sign the Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release form to: (i) confirm compliance with all Draw Rules; (ii) agree to accept the prize as awarded; (iii) release, discharge and hold harmless the Sponsor, their departments and agencies, parent, related and affiliated companies, subsidiaries, franchisees, advertising and promotional agencies, counsel, marketing partners, and each of their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders, successors, sponsors, partners, licensees, subsidiaries, agents, artists, advisors, assignees, and all others associated with the administration, development and execution of the Draw (the “Released Parties”) from and against any and all manners of action, causes of action, claim or demand, loss or injury, use or misuse of a prize or, and the use of the Entry by the Sponsor, suit, debt, covenant, contract, including legal fees and expenses, whatsoever, including but not limited to, claims based on negligence, breach of contract and fundamental breach, failure of any third party contractor or supplier used in connection with any aspect of the Draw to perform or deliver any goods or services, any act of God or any other event beyond the Released Parties’ control, any dissatisfaction of any kind by a winner with any aspect of the Draw or any prize, liability for physical injury, death, or property damage which the entrants, guests, their heirs, successors or assigns have, might have or could have suffered, by reason of or arising out of the entrant’s participation in the Draw and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by the entrant of a Prize as awarded; and (iv) indemnify the Released Parties against any loss, damage or expense, including legal fees, that any of the Released Parties may suffer or incur as a result of any non-compliance by an entrant with any of the Draw Rules or participation in the Draw and/or in connection with the acceptance and/or exercise by an entrant of a prize and the use of the Entry by Sponsors. Sponsors are not responsible for: (i) incorrect or inaccurate entry information which may affect a person’s ability to participate in the Draw or be awarded a prize, including but not limited to human error, technical malfunctions, lost or delayed entries for any reason, mail failures, omission, or any combination thereof, and entries which fail to fully comply with these Draw Rules; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (iii) lost, incomplete, delayed, mutilated or misdirected entries or Declaration and Release forms; (iv) injury or damage to the entrant’s computer or to any other individual’s computer related to or resulting from participating in, or downloading any material regarding the Draw or accepting a prize; (v) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Draw or receipt or use or misuse of any prize, including any travel related thereto and the use of the Entry by Sponsors; (vi) the security or privacy of information transmitted via computer networks or for breaches of privacy due to interference by third party computer “hackers” or otherwise; or (vii) late, lost, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify a potential winner. The winner will be required to be in compliance with all of the Official Rules, in the Sponsors’ sole discretion, in order to claim his/her prize. If a potential winner(s) cannot be contacted or the prize is returned as undeliverable, potential winners forfeit their prizes. In the event that a potential winner is disqualified for any reason, the Sponsors will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by a random draw from all the remaining eligible entries received before Draw End Date. Only three (3) alternate drawings will be held, after which a prize will remain un-awarded. Prizes will be fulfilled within five (5) weeks after the conclusion of the Draw and contingent upon the nature of the prize. Winners may be required to answer a skills test question.
7. Other Conditions
Termination: Sponsors reserve the right, to terminate or amend the Draw at any time and in any way, without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, if, for any reason, the Draw is not capable of running as originally planned for any reason, the Sponsor reserves the right,, to cancel the Draw and conduct a random draw from all previously received eligible entries received by the Draw End Date. If there are no submissions within the first two days of the Draw start date, or if there are less than ten submissions within seven days of the Draw start date, the Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or terminate the draw without a winner. Publicity and entrant information: By participating in the Draw, entrants consent to the use of their name, social media handles, comments and image, whether on videotape, photograph or any other means, for the administration of this Draw or any publicity carried out by the Sponsor, without further notice or compensation. Information collected from entrants is subject to the sponsor’s privacy policies available at: www.greatcanadianmeat.com. Entrant’s information collected for this Draw will not be sold to any third party nor used in email correspondence without CASL-compliant opt-in permission by an individual. Governing law and disputes: The Draw is void where prohibited by law. Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Draw or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any kind of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsors in connection with the Draw, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction. Rule amendments: The Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to amend or modify these Draw Rules, or modify, cancel or suspend this Draw, without prior notice for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation in the event that any cause beyond the reasonable control of the Sponsors corrupts, or threatens to corrupt, the security or proper administration of the Draw. Intellectual property: All intellectual property, including but not limited to trademarks, logos, designs, promotional materials, web pages, source codes, images, drawings, illustrations, slogans and representations are owned by the Sponsor. All rights are reserved. Unauthorized copying or use of any copyrighted material or other intellectual property without the express written consent of the Sponsor is strictly prohibited. Sponsor’s marketing or other partners, if any, shall also have access to and rights to reproduce, copy, or otherwise use any materials generated by this Draw or any submissions or materials generated by entrants. The Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Draw Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision. When terms such as “may” are used in these Draw Rules, the Sponsor has sole and absolute discretion.
